Parent Information: Autumn 2021
 

PE will be every Wednesday. This will start on Wedesday 29th September. Children will come to school in their PE kits and will stay in their kit all day. A list of the correct PE kit can be found here: https://www.lakesidechelt.co.uk/page.php?id=9068 

Forest School
Forest School will be on a Tuesday and will start after October half Term. See our Parent Meeting PowerPoint for useful tips on what to wear.

Reading Books
Your child will bring home reading books in the first couple of weeks of school once they are settled. These books will be wordless. Sharing wordless books is a terrific way to build important literacy skills, including listening skills, vocabulary, comprehension and an increased awareness of how stories are structured. 

Reading Record Books:
                                                                          

Write a comment in the reading record book each time you read with your child. This is a great way to communicate your child's reading progress at home with their class teacher. The class teacher will record their observations each week in the same book.
