Welcome

It is with great pleasure that we send you this information pack and extend our warmest welcome to you and your child to Lakeside Primary School.

I understand that for each of you there will be varied levels of association with the school to-date.  For nearly half of you, we know that you already have a child attending Lakeside and we are delighted that you have chosen us again.  For the remainder of you, this marks the start of a new, and I hope exciting, collaboration.

Whether you have a long-standing association with us, or this is the beginning of a brand new chapter, the first and most important thing you should know is that we are excited to build a strong partnership with you centred around your child.  I often speak to stakeholders associated with our school about there being no finish line in education.  We are simply striving every day to experience successes and celebrate them in a safe and happy environment.  How we get there is always evolving and we welcome you to be a part of that evolution.  Over your child’s next seven years our school won’t stand still.  I don’t know what it will look like in seven years from now, but what I do know is that every single one of you is invited to help shape that evolution alongside myself and my team in school.  When we work together in an environment of mutual respect, ultimately the children are always the winners.

I hope you find these values are ones which mirror your own personal values—I know they resonate for me as much as a father as they do a head teacher.

This section of the website is designed to provide you with a wealth of information about the next steps along the journey of your child becoming a Lakeside pupil.  We will keep updating it throughout the summer with relevant information for you.  Please remember, if there are any outstanding questions, or if you simply would like to continue learning about our school before September, the door is open.  Book a meeting or a tour with us via the school office and we’ll be delighted to welcome you and offer our help.
