Year 1
In Year 1 children move from the Early Years Foundation Stage into Key Stage 1. We continue to build upon the progress the children have made during their Reception year and to encourage greater independence in subtle ways. The children begin their year continuing to learn through carefully considered provision and play, gradually progressing to more formal learning throughout the autumn and beyond. Our Year 1 classrooms back on to our amazing Young Learners' Garden which they have access to as part of their learning alongside their friends in Reception.
