Lakeside Primary School

Train to Teach with Lakeside

For the start of the 2026-27 academic year we are delighted to be hosting the University of Worcester's North Gloucestershire Teacher Training Hub at Lakeside.  For aspiring future teachers, this is a unique opportunity to benefit from the university's 'Outstanding' provision based out of Gloucestershire schools.  Beyond this, our new hub will be supported by the well-established North Worcestershire Training Hub based out of St John's C of E Middle School in Bromsgrove.

The University of Worcester has a long-standing reputation for training excellent, highly employable teachers.   Personalised academic and professional tutoring, from a range of experienced tutors and mentors, ensures that you will be supported throughout your course and in transition from trainee to an early career teacher.

Find out more about our partnership with the University of Worcester via the link here.

All full-time teacher training programmes run from September to June and incorporate two school placements, along with a comprehensive professional studies programme, created in collaboration with the University of Worcester, which is delivered in schools by servingexperienced teachers. This supplements 3 ‘ITaP’ (Intensive Training and Practice) weeks led by the University of Worcester.
