Lakeside Primary School

The To-Do List

Prior to starting with us in September, there are a number of actions we need you to complete.  We'll talk through these in more detail at the parents' meeting on 24th June and provide paper copies of the forms, but for anyone feeling super-organised please familiarise yourself with the actions below:

The Admissions Form

Every child who starts at Lakeside must have an admissions form completed about them.  The form provides us with information such as emergency contact details, medical information, welfare etc.  You can download a copy of the form via the link below and bring it to the school office next time you visit or collect a paper copy during the transition events.  We need all these forms back with us by September 2nd 2025.

Free School Meals

All children in Reception Year 1 and Year 2 are eligible for a government-funded free school meal each day.  This is known as Universal Infant Free School Meals. Once the new academic year has begun, you will receive communication from us supporting you in setting up a Parent Pay account through which you can order your meals each week.  These funded school meals are available until your child begins Year 3.

Separate to the Universal Infant Free School Meals are the Pupil Premium Grant Free School Meals.  When a child is eligible for Pupil Premium funding, they will receive free school meals for the entirety of their school journey from Reception to Year 6.  The school will also receive additional funding to spend on your child during their time there.  Click the link below to find out if your child is eligible for Pupil Premium Grant Free School Meals.  If they are, please complete the registration to ensure we receive the additional funding available.

Uniform

When you are ready to start buying school uniform, please check out the dedicated page of our website.  We encourage purchasing pre-loved uniform from our PTA, supermarket own-brand equivalent as well as branded uniform from our providers Monkhouse School Wear.  It is so important to remember that when you have uniform ready to go, everything needs naming clearly!
