British Science Week 2026

Welcome to our Home Resources hub for British Science Week 2026, taking place from 6th–15th March. This year’s theme is “Curiosity: What’s Your Question?”, a celebration of the inquisitive spirit at the heart of all scientific discovery. The theme encourages children to think deeply about the questions they have about the world and to explore the ways they might find the answers.

Curiosity is a powerful starting point for learning—every scientific advancement begins with a simple question. From exploring nature and the environment to investigating technology, health, or everyday phenomena, this year’s theme invites families to nurture children’s natural desire to explore, discover and ask why

On this page, you’ll find a range of activities and resources designed to bring British Science Week to life at home. Whether you’re experimenting in the kitchen or exploring the outdoors these resources will help you support your child’s scientific thinking and make learning fun, hands‑on, and meaningful. Enjoy exploring!
