Peripatetic Music at Lakeside

We offer a range of peripatetic music lessons at Lakeside through external providers.  These are offered through a private arrangement with the music teachers and hosted at school throughout the school day.  The information below offers further information and contact details for the offer we have available at school:

Simon Probert Piano

The benefits of learning to play a musical instrument are many and varied. Making music opens children’s minds, and their confidence flourishes as they learn to express themselves in exciting new ways.

Most importantly though, making music is great fun and that will always be the best reason for learning! Our piano teacher, Simon Probert, has been giving weekly one-to-one lessons at Lakeside since 2021.

At iRock School of Music, we believe every child deserves a brighter future. Our in-school rock and pop band lessons provide an amazing confidence boosting experience for children by making music fun! 30-minute weekly lessons run like most other peripatetic classes. Children are grouped by age and learn together in their own rock bands. Children choose to become a drummer, guitarist, keyboard player or singer.  We host regular 'rock concerts' in school for the children to show case their learning to friends and family.
