Supporting Pupils with Disadvantage and SEND
At Lakeside, we believe that all pupils should have equitable access to our curriculum. Where pupils are disadvantaged or have SEND, we strive to remove the barriers that may limit this access. Within each year group curriculum overview, provision is mapped out through subjects and themes, ensuring full coverage of the National Curriculum at the same time as making meaningful and relevant links across broader themes and topics.
For pupils in receipt of the Pupil Premium Grant, we endeavour to meet costs that might otherwise prevent full access – for further information about provision through the Pupil Premium Grant, please see our Pupil Premium Strategy Statement on the website.
For pupils who have SEND, their My Plan, My Plan+ or EHCP will include outcomes that seek to remove barriers in accessing the curriculum – you will find further information about our SEND offer and policy on the website.
Miss T Richards and Miss J Hinch lead Pupil Premium and SEND provision respectively. Please contact the admin team to arrange a meeting if you have any further queries: admin@lakeside.gloucs.sch.uk
